FedEx Employees – Choose how you get and manage your care

In person

You can make a routine appointment to see your doctor in person. And because most of our locations offer many services under one roof, you can see your doctor, get lab services and X-rays, and pick up your prescriptions – all in one trip.

By phone

Save a trip to the doctor’s office. Telephone appointments are available for Northern and Southern CA residents. If you have a minor health condition and if it doesn’t require an in- person medical exam, you may be able to address it with a doctor by phone. You’ll get great care, and you’ll save time.

By video*

Save time with a video appointment. Video appointments are available for Northern CA residents. For certain conditions or symptoms, you may be able to see your doctor using your computer or mobile device.

By email*

Connect with your doctor anytime. You can email your doctor’s office with nonurgent questions and get a reply within 48 hours, often sooner.

On the go

After registering on kp.org, you can go to your smartphone, download the Kaiser Permanente app, and start using our secure online features – anytime, anywhere. Learn more at kp.org/mobile
*Telephone and video appointments are not appropriate for emergency conditions, such as severe shortness of breath, severe abdominal pain, severe bleeding, or urgent conditions—like sprains, falls, or cuts needing stitches. If you reasonably believe you have an emergency medical condition, which is a medical or psychiatric condition that requires immediate medical attention to prevent serious jeopardy to your health, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For the complete definition of an emergency medical condition, please refer to your Evidence of Coverage.

FedEx Employees – Did you know you are covered for emergency care anywhere in the world?

FedEx/Kaiser Permanente members are covered for Emergency care anywhere in the world. If you experience a medical emergency while traveling outside of the Kaiser Permanente service area, please call Member Services at 1-800-464-4000 (this number can also be found in the back of your medical ID card) as soon as reasonably possible so that Kaiser Permanente can coordinate your care. Take a Travel Kit with you. It explains how to get care and what to do if you get care at a non–Kaiser Permanente facility. It includes the Getting care away from home brochure, the Emergency and Urgent Care Away from Home brochure, and an emergency claims form. To order your Travel Kit, please contact the Member Service Contact Center at least 2 weeks before your trip. To learn more about what to do before, during and after your trip, visit Getting care when you travel.
