Wellness incentive program

New for 2018

Earn up to $200 in wellness incentives

This year, from May 10, 2018 until October 31, 2018, Prince George’s County Government employees enrolled as the primary cardholder in the Kaiser Permanente health insurance plan are eligible to participate in the 2018 Healthy Steps Rewards Program and potentially earn up to $200.

What’s the wellness program?
As an employee of Prince George’s County Government, you can take advantage of a wellness program that helps you stay on top of your health. In addition to biometric screenings that check your body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, and cholesterol, the program features classes that demonstrate how you can:

  • Create a reasonable work-life balance
  • Understand the impact of and reduce stress
  • Achieve balance between mind and body with exercises like yoga and tai chi
  • Practice mindfulness

For details, including a complete list of classes, dates, and locations, download the 2018 seminar offerings.

How do I earn points?
You can earn points toward rewards when you complete activities and an online health assessment that help you reach your wellness goals. Attendance at seminars and your Wellness Day event gets you points. You’ll also get points when you participate in a minimum number of classes in the following areas:

  • Weight management
  • Exercise
  • Stress management

Activities must be reported in order to receive credit for rewards. For information on how points are tallied and how to get credit for the wellness points you’ve earned, download the self-reporting activity log.
